Golden Delicious apple is one of the most important apple varieties of the 20th century. It has pale golden yellow skin, sometimes with a slight red blush. It’s crunchy and has a sweet taste. It was discovered by accident as a seedling in 1890 in Clay County, West Virginia, United States.
