Jonaprince was discovered in 1994 in Weert in the Netherlands as a clone of the Jonagold variety. Its skin is shiny and smooth and in 90 to 100% its blush is very intensive and great, what makes it very attractive for a potential buyer. Jonaprince has more sugar and higher hardness than other Jonagold clones and high anthocyanin content. Its flesh is very crispy and juicy. An additional advantage of this variety is its excellent storage potential and exceptional commerce durability. That’s why the Jonaprince is quite ideal for selling on the markets worldwide.
